Do Reima UV-products contain TiO2? Is it safe?

Reima SunProof swim jersey products from summer 2020 and before contain titanium dioxide (TiO2) that has been added to the fibers in the spinning phase. Although titanium dioxide is no longer considered safe to be used in foodstuffs in Europe, it's still considered safe to be used directly on the skin, e.g. in sunscreen lotions. Because it's spun inside the fibers, it will stay there and not come out during use or in the wash.
