Can your fabrics be treated using substances that improve water resistance?
Yes, they can. Reimatec fabrics have a water- and dirt-resistant surface finishing that prevents water droplets from attaching themselves to the surface of the fabric or being absorbed into the fabric. The finishing treatment also reduces the ability of dirt to attach itself to the fabric. However, this finishing is only on the surface of the fabric and it wears away the more the garment is washed. The fabric's water-resistance can be improved using finishing agents sold in shops. When shopping for finishing agents, make sure that they do not contain silicon and that they are suitable for breathable textiles.
