What kind of UV protection do you use and how do you test the UV items?

Some Reima materials have natural UV protection (dense fabric structure), whereas others have a safe sun-blocking surface finish.
When we announce the ultraviolet protection factor, we've always measured it according to the standard EN 13758-1 + A1.
For example:
UV protection 40+ prevents 97,5% of the ultraviolet radiation.
UV protection 50+ prevents 98% of the ultraviolet radiation.
The UV sun protection factor of Reima garments tells you approximately how much longer kids can play in the sun without getting a sunburn underneath the clothing. You should also always protect bare areas of skin with e.g. sunscreen lotion.
